Louisiana is a unique state when it comes to the medical marijuana program. Louisiana is what we call an “all conditions” state. This means that any and all medical conditions can qualify you for medical marijuana treatment. This is great because it makes the program more inclusive to many different conditions that people are suffering with!
So when you come to your evaluation, our certified doctors will be reviewing your medical history and making sure that your medical condition can be treated with medical marijuana.
Here is a list of the most common conditions that can qualify you for medical marijuana treatment in Louisiana:
Cachexia or wasting syndrome
Hospice or palliative care
Severe muscle spasm
Spinal muscular atrophy
Traumatic brain injury
Any debilitating condition if a physician believes a patient will benefit
Again, this is a list of the most common conditions that we see in Louisiana but any and all medical conditions can qualify you for medical marijuana treatment!
Whichever condition(s) that you have is what will be discussed in your evaluation. The evaluation is not super long and usually lasts around 30 minutes.
There is no reason to be worried or stressed about your evaluation. If for some reason our doctor cannot confirm your condition, we will provide guidance for you on what you will need to qualify and ultimately refund your appointment cost if not approved.
Our doctors and compassionate staff are here to help you! You are our number one priority and we are focused on helping as many patients as we can.
