This comes to no surprise as cannabis has uplifting, tension-releasing and anti-anxiety properties that pair perfectly with yoga. When added purposefully to your yoga practice, the effects can be powerful.

For many yogis, their practice is something sacred to them, so the first step should be to get deep with yourself. Think about your intentions and why you want to incorporate cannabis into your practice. The reasoning can vary as it is personal to the yogi. It could be to relieve stress, to help alleviate chronic pain or even to simply connect with yourself on a spiritual level. No matter what your reasoning, intentions are key as in any yoga practice.

Another important thing to keep in mind is paying attention to your body. If you’re a first-time consumer with yoga, it is important to be mindful of how your body now moves differently while using cannabis. Take note about how you feel as it changes throughout your practice while the cannabis is moving through the system.
